Trying Something New

Ive been pondering for the last 12 months as to whether or not I would be able to work with fimo, so because I didn't want to spend out on a material that I may not be able to work with and to be honest all the different varieties somewhat baffled me a bit so I tried a bit of Blue Tac sculpting. I know its a very strange thing to do and believe me with the stickiness of it, it wasn't easy either. I managed to make something that half resembled a human and a good friend very kindly sent me a sample of some sculpery to see what I could do with it. I sat down this evening and gave it a go.

I thought you might all like to have a giggle at my feeble attempts, Im going to keep practising as with the forecasts showing snow I'll have a lot of long dark nights to fill.

Big Step for Mini Monster

Well I've finally gone and done it.


I've set up an Etsy account and I've sorted all the copyright so I can now show you my bed.


I designed and made this for myself but then after some discussion with my husband I have decided to make and sell my own designed modern mini furniture. I have lots of ideas on the drawing board that will be hopefully going into prototype production shortly so that I can get them protected and put on sale.



The first item that I will be selling is my Modern Mirrored Glass Bed. I was tempted not to sell this so that I can always say mine is one of a kind and I know for a fact that no one else has one, but I didn't and so in the next few weeks I will begin selling them under the name of MonsterMiniatures on Etsy.

This is how the bed will be sold with just a covered mattress for you to put your own bedding on until I get better at making bedding.

My word my head is spinning

I've been looking into copyright and I really don't know where to start. I've designed and made a bed that I want to make more of and sell, but I don't want anyone copying my design as there is nothing out there at the moment in the miniature world that's like it.

If this works out I hope to be able to make a living from making and selling it, so its important I get this right.

Unfortunatly until Ive managed to understand this I dont want to risk showing you anything of my dollshouse bedroom.
